Okay. So when I signed up for super_summer originally my net was kind of working and I was going to do icons. But now my net is beyond wonky and uploading even a single userpic is more trouble than it's worth. My next thought, sadly, was a fanmix because my brain took a few minutes to remember that whole thing about not being able to upload anything.

I've been reading through my Werewolf Encyclopedia for the past few hours and have discovered two things.

I have finally figured out which movie trollprincess' Curse 'Verse fics (This One Time in a Michelle Pfeiffer Movie...) reference. In the movie Ladyhawk she played a woman who turned into a hawk each day while her lover (that word still makes me fucking cringe) turned into a wolf each night because of a spell cast on them. I feel oddly happy at knowing this now.

The second includes a tiny spoiler from Supernatural 0119 -Dead Man's Blood.

Also? I am curious. See I have all these dumb things I've done, and all these things my brothers and their friends have done but I wanna hear new ones. I'll even trade if you want, one stupid story from me for one from you. I'll start.

My brothers and their friends climbed on the top of the trailers (Ours and theirs) one Fourth of July and had a massive water-balloon fight across the street. It ended with two friends, one on each trailer, falling off. One fell into a rosebush while the other bounced off of our van.

Yes, I'm still awake and yes I'm making another post. I'm bored; fucking deal with it.

I think I know part of the reason why I'm so hesitant to work on my Five Powers fic. "Twelve Times [...]" was only the second SPN fic I ever did (Faulty Wiring totally doesn't count and oddly it's the Michael voice that makes me cringe) and lots of people liked it. Lots of people recced it even. I don't want to sound like some deluded retard who's afraid of "letting down her throws of fans" with a bomb or something cause that's not what it is. I'm totally spazzing that either people will just plain-out not like it or that they will refer to it in the way I've referred back to old fics in mostly-defunct fandoms: "Oh yeah, she did that one story, right? I liked that one. Everything else was kinda shitty but that one was good."

I think I had more coherent things on this but I am SO fucking tired right now.

Also I want to go through every episode of Supernatural and make a note of all the clothes Sammich and Dean and John (When we see him) wear on the show because I love how the clothes reappear a lot like they really don't have a lot. I'm totally gonna have a list of all their clothing (Minus socks maybe) eventually. It's just a matter of if I'm gonna do it on my own or if I can recruit anyone who happens to be reading this for an episode or two maybe.

On proper drug use in fanfic. So much word. Speaking as someone who hasn't personally done drugs but has seen many other people on many types of drugs? I can't usually bring myself to read fics involving drug use. The first reason is personal, drugs are a very big part of everything I hate and I tend to automatically dislike the character using very heavily. The second part is because a lot of the time it's done ridiculously. Now remember, I said I don't like to read drugfic so I admittedly don't have a lot to reference but... Yeah, not gonna go into it now cause I want to do more in this post.

Part of the more? Is alcohol. I know for a fact that alcohol doesn't work the same on everyone. My little brother? Doesn't get hangovers. He, Andy, and a friend of theirs got trashed on Wild Turkey a bit ago. The three of them downed an entire bottle in a matter of hours. Joseph was fine in the morning, same amount of bitchy as always, no nausea, nothing. Andy, who is 6'1 and 350 lbs was still drunk enough in the morning that everything was "slower." He also had a headache but him and Joseph had been beating each other all night so I think it was more that then the alcohol.

One of the things to remember is tolerance. As we were told in our third week Drug Class: tolerance means it takes more to get high, tolerance means it takes more to get high, tolerance means it takes more to get high. And yes, we had to repeat it three times first thing in the morning for a week. What this means is that when you first start out? One hit/one beer/one shot/one gram/whatever is what'll effect you because you have no tolerance. The more you use/drink the more it will take to effect you.

This means that if you have been smoking crack for five years it'd probably going to take more than a dime bag to get you high.

Tolerance lowers though. Which means if you stop doing whatever drug you use for years and get clean and then you start using again? You're not gonna need the same amount you used to, and if you try the same amount you're probably going to OD.

I write like I need a helmet. Seriously, I'm all over the fucking place, the only constant is that I need sound (And that's more of a me thing than a writing thing).

If I have an active fic going I wont read stories. I'll bookmark like a mofo but I wont read. I tend to plan them out loosely in advance but the level of detail really varies. Usually it takes me weeks or so to write a fic but sometimes if the idea hits me right I can rattle off ficlets (Like this one and this one for jetpants).
