waterofthemoon and jadetate's flights all leave tomorrow afternoon. This is kind of suck-ass because, due to missing roommates and the lack of me re-doing the room prices and shit, the three of us are without a room for the night.
We were talking with fangirls last night and we know there's at least one staying in the hotel until tomorrow, but we don't know her name or username. Only that she has long purple hair. We win, right?
There's no huge thing there, though. I mean, it's not like we can't stay the night in the airport if we have to.
So, yeah. If anyone here knows the fangirl with the purple hair, or some other fangirl staying tonight? It would be awesome if you could drop a comment here and let me know.

You're going to be here in scenic Charm City, and you're asking yourself, where can I discuss issues of mythology, meta, plot arcs, and, of course, the awesomeness that is John Winchester? Myself, akaclex_monkie89, waterofthemoon, littlewings04, and a bevy of other delightful fangirls have your nerd needs covered. We want to host An (Impromptu) Salon. For those of you who slept through European History, we're paying homage to the great 19th century intellectual tradition of gathering with cocktails and beautiful women to talk about the Great Issues of the Day, only with more talk about pretty boys, hotass angels, Vietnam Vets, psychic powers, Yellow-Eyed Demons and why Kripke owns our souls. Work and Writing
Sep. 30th, 2008 08:26 pmYesterday was a good day at work, man. I sold two Platinum Memberships (our biggest ones) and two Silver Memberships. Platinum memberships have a commission of about $94.95, and people are lucky if they get one a week and I got two today. I also won five bucks, a home phone that I'm selling to another guy at work for $15 (since we don't even have a land line here), a fleece throw and a mousepad/calculator.
Also, my check on Friday for last week should be somewhere between $450 and $480 before taxes. I'm not completely positive, though, because trying to figure out the commission kinda makes my head hurt.
Today at work was less fun. I'm really hating idiots who call up a 1-800 number, listen to a hold message and then still don't realize they're calling the wrong number. Every time I pick up the phone and don't make a sale it fucks with my sales quota. I don't mind so much when it's people calling to try and pay their electricity or gas or something, because our company name is an abbreviation and, like, utility companies abbreviate. Like SRP and APS and stuff. But, still. I made one sale today. It was a North Carolina Gold, so it made me about thirty bucks on next Friday's check, but it was only half my monetary quota for the day.
Also, I seem to be obsessively checking DeaLoco to try and find good deals on, like, an iPod or some speakers for Yussie's computer or something.
I have an appointment at 0700 on Saturday to get my hair dyed. On the one hand, yay! On the other hand, I feel sad that I won't have my pink and blue hair for WinCon this year. At least it'll be Wraith Keeper red?
My main problem with me Remix right now? Is trying to figure out WHEN to write it. When you wake up at 0430 you get TIRED fast. Like, I'm off work at 1400 (give or take) and by the time I get home I just wanna skim my FList, read, and try not to fall asleep.

WinCon and iPods and Nerding, oh my!

I'm thinking about buying a new iPod on Friday, if I have a big enough check. Right now I have John, but I share him with Yussie and Yussie has three hours or so between classes three times a week so I don't really get to use him much. It's about $250 for a 120GB Video iPod brand new. That's... A whole fucking lot of money. I mean, a lot of money.
I need to work on my Remix so badly.
Does anybody know how to clean audio off an MP3? Because I have a few podfics sitting on my iPod that I just can't listen to because they're either recorded so low that I can only listen to them when there's no noise (so, not on my iPod) or they have such horrible static and background noise that I can hardly hear it and miss huge fucking chunks due to not having any clue what's going on.

New Weekend Prices (Approximate)
$110 (Room) + $70 ($10 per extra, seven extras) = $180 (one room, one night)
$180 (one night fee) * 3 (nights) = $540 (whole weekend - tax)
$540 + $30.60 (tax) = $570.60 (weekend total)
$570.60 / 8 (people) = $75ish (per person, for the weekend).

As we get nearer to the con people will be getting their flight information and so on and I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could remember to come back here and drop the info in the comments, so that I can keep track of us easier.
We have the room Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, with checkout set for Sunday morning. My flight plans (see previous post) mean I personally will be needing a room for Sunday and Monday nights. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to try and book a room or see if anyone has a spare room for me to crash in those two days, so if anyone else is staying past Sunday you would do well to mention it here, so we can brainstorm.

New Weekend Prices (Approximate)
$110 (Room) + $70 ($10 per extra, seven extras) = $180 (one room, one night)
$180 (one night fee) * 3 (nights) = $540 (whole weekend - tax)
$540 + $30.60 (tax) = $570.60 (weekend total)
$570.60 / 8 (people) = $75ish (per person, for the weekend).

As we get nearer to the con people will be getting their flight information and so on and I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could remember to come back here and drop the info in the comments, so that I can keep track of us easier.
We have the room Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, with checkout set for Sunday morning. My flight plans (see previous post) mean I personally will be needing a room for Sunday and Monday nights. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to try and book a room or see if anyone has a spare room for me to crash in those two days, so if anyone else is staying past Sunday you would do well to mention it here, so we can brainstorm.
