Hey you know what? While I'm in a ranty mood?

WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE PBFE?

It was supposed to be done a while ago and this is bull. According to the last post at

pbficexchange there were still fics waiting to be posted and there has been no word of anything since.

This was on June 20th, almost a month ago. She also hasn't updated her personal journal in thirteen weeks so that'll probably be no help at all with contacting her.

I'm really not trying to come off as a bitch because for all I know (God forbid) something happened to

almostforgiven. But if it didn't? If she's fine and everyone is fine and she just got tired of LJ or PB or the PBFE or something? Then I am pissed.

You know what I want? For everyone to step up to the comm and tell what they wrote. And those people who haven't had their stories put up yet? Maybe post them on your own? I honestly feel that if we don't finish this ourselves it just ain't gonna get done.

Seriously man, what's the consensus here? Do we want to try and finish this on our own or does nobody care anymore?

Feel free to direct anyone and everyone even a little interested to this post.

Also? Did you notice that poor halfshell had to get the ball rolling over at the drabble community. Because almostforgiven took that over for alazysod. And then promptly fell off the face of the earth.

I totally noticed. It's very unfair. Very.

It's kinda said because I know there were are/were some already finished fics that haven't been posted yet. I think the last one in contact with her was

becisvolatile because they made arrangements for bec to be a backup writer for that T-Bag/Veronica story.

I gotta admit, it gets my goat when people abandon things mid-run without bothewring to tell anyone about it.

I forgot I even wrote that story. I'm ready to post the damn thing on my own journal and just be done with it.

I'm totally not one for mutiny but in this case I think it's the only thing that would keep this ship floating.

Now, I feel like a pirate. Argh!

Do you have to be a mod/owner to post a main post to the community? Because if not somebody could just post a "Well we haven't heard from almostforgiven for a while, please, those people whose stories haven't been posted yet, could you send them to us so we can post them to the community". Because I think there are a few remaining stories that have been written/sent to her but haven't been posted yet.

If community posting is possible you could even do a post with screened comments where everybody says which story they wrote and people could even do the guessing game thing.

I don't know, I feel sort of bad doing that to her, but I really feel like she should have either A. Finished posting the 4 or 5 fics that are left before she went out of the country, or B. She should have at least posted something about being away for awhile.

In other news, I just posted fic for you on my journal.

That sounds like a really good idea. I think I'm gonna try and post once I get back on my computer, try and get this thing rolling again.

Didn't you start the guessing thread during the first exchange? Am I remembering that right? Because that would mean, I assume, that non-mods can post.

But yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I wish she'd let someone take over mod duties while she went away, but this seems like a reasonable solution. ESpecially with several fics not even posted yet.

Funny, I was just looking at that yesterday too, and noticed that the last post was made almost a month ago. I think the last fic to be posted was a month ago. I wish at least she'd pop by and let us know what's going on, and maybe let someone help/take over for a bit. I wouldn't want to to the comm from her without her permission, but it'd be nice to get the rest of the fic posted and revealed, and start up another one.

Almostforgiven emailed me on July 4th and said she was out of the country. I haven't heard anything since then, so I'm assuming she's not back yet.

Well at least nothing bad has happened to her.

It's still pretty frustrating though, she could have mentioned something to the comm.

almostforgiven for if/when she ever comes back?

I've been wondering about it, too, and I think we should do SOMETHING. The way I see it, we all put time and effort into our fics, and we should at least get to see this thing through to the end.

almostforgiven should have mentioned that the community would be dead for awhile. Someone else could have (and would have, I'm sure) stepped up and offered to take over while she was away. I enjoyed doing the exchange, and I'd like to do it again, but I don't necessarily want to participate if it's not going anywhere.

She seems to have the comm set so that only she can post. I'm brainstorming a solution right now, keep your eyes peeled.

I really am sorry for all the inconvenience and you have every right to want to bomb me off the face of the earth right now.

I don't neccessarily want to bomb you. I do think, however, that not even dropping a note in the comm mentioning you're going to be gone was very uncool. I honestly gave up hope of this ever being finished.

I know. I feel terrible about it and I don't know how I can word that so that you'll believe me because I wouldn't believe me in your position. But I do.

I've posted another fic at the exchange. I don't have my lists with me but I believe I'm missing two fics from authors. I'm organizing the tags and memories I missed at

pbreak_drabbles.

And I'm really, really sorry.

I trust that you feel bad, I really do. And I also trust that you're sorry for this. Maybe next time you could drop a line somewhere before leaving or something like that.

For future reference if you ever need an instant mod/maintainer because you're going to be away for a while I offer to help, I have lots of free time and would have no problem palying temp until you returned.

Sorry to barge in, not sure how my kind will be recieved these days, but I'm thrilled to hear some sort of going on with the exchange because I'm drying to try my fic out on other readers eventually.

Everyone who did comment was very sweet, the person I wrote for seemed pleased enough, but since it took all of five minutes for everyone to know it was ME ( who was I kidding about being anonymous with my freaky style ) the process was just not as entertaining with the mystery gone.
Oh yeah and a shipper writing fic for heavy slash audience didn't help things either.

I'm very curious to see how it goes over with my reg readers.

It's weird, some people have figured out a ton of them, but I've only been able to guess one of them so far. A few I know, but other than that I have no idea who wrote most of them (including which one is yours) :p And I really want to know! *whiny*

I'd say most are very hard to pick up on... I only have a few guesses but a lot of these authors I don't know very well so it gets hard at that point.

someone else knowing which one I did right off the bat so I figured there was no mystery for me after that. LOL

Actually it's possible I haven't read yours yet - I still have a bunch that I haven't gotten around to yet (yet again, big lack of reading time for me lately).

What's really funny is that I was so sure people would be able to tell which is mine immediately, but so far no one has guessed it correctly.

Pardon my intusion. I literally stumbled on to here when I was looking through the exchanges member list to see if anyone else was feeling like things were taking way too long.

almostforgiven and she said exactly what she did here: that she was very sorry and she'd try to get the rest up soon.

Is there any way to get a time frame on that? I was going to just say "Screw it" and post mine on the prisonbreakfic.com and

prison_breakfic anyway, but if this is all coming to close in the next week or so, I'll wait. Any way to get a concrete time period on it?
