Supernatural - 0606 - SPOILERS

I still love the show. I like this season, and the only reason I haven't been talking about it much (aside from RL basically making joy impossible lately) is because everyone else seems to hate it and that makes me sad.

Also sad? The complete lack of hot gay incest in this episode. Fic taught me that boys telling the truth always ends in a lot of porn. Not bloody, mushed faces. Well, sometimes bloody faces too, but that's often a by-product of the porn.

I loved that Lisa dumped Dean for shoving Ben. She was willing to put up with a lot for Dean, but her son still comes first, and I really love that.

Also, I kinda liked that Bobby said Dean was his favorite, because Dean needs to be someone's favorite. Sam has always known he is the center of the world. As someone at the Show panel at wincon put it (gigglingkat?) "The sky is blue, the grass is green, and Dean loves me." Sam does not question it, and sees no need to. Dean, on the other hand, would not be Dean without his amazing lack of self-worth. And Bobby is too smart not to know that.

Sam's confession there at the end, HMOG. SAMMY. I wanted to hug him, but it would probably be awkward since right now he is more sociopathic than Dexter. What I find really neat, and totally awesome on Jared's part, is that Sam has shown that he can fake emotion when he needs to—his main problem is that until he's called out on it he doesn't remember/realize that he should be acting differently than he is.

Also, even though I saw Veritas on Sam;s computer in the Soon from before, when they started mentioning the horns I got all excited thinking it was gonna be Pan, or Pan's pipes or something. And then I was so excited about Gabriel's horn, because of course Gabriel's horn is gonna give people ALL of the truth ever. Or, as waterofthemoon puts it, "(this would be when he pops in and says, "hellooooo, TRICKSTER.")"

Veritas the Goddess wasn't bad for a MotW, but we all know it wasn't about her this week. I loved her throwing the boys into her half-eaten torso, though.

OH, SPEAKING OF GROSS THINGS. I watch the show at least twice every week, once on the East Coast live feed, and then again two hours later when it airs live here. The first time I totally covered my eyes through the dentist's scene because I was terrified he was gonna start ripping out the dude's teeth and I would not have been able to handle it. But I could watch it fine the second time because I knew he "just" drilled through arteries and got a blood bath. Also, I totally cheered for the doctor for killing that dude. Guy had it coming. (And I feel bad for the poor waitress at the beginning.)

I love Bobby's TMI, BTW. And the random creepy little girl at the beginning who wanted to burn her mother? Hilarious in a "GOD, WRITERS, KIDS REALLY CREEP YOU OUT, HUH?" way.

Spoilers for the promo only: [BY THIS TIME NEXT WEEK CASTIEL WILL HAVE CANONICALLY FISTED SAM. Also, I'm thinking Sam bought his way out with his soul and doesn't remember it. I mean, come on, if he were already in hell? He would sell his soul to get out, especially if he thought he could break the deal before it came due. Wouldn't really count on anyone to keep it right then.]

OKAY, SO I GOT KIND OF RAMBLY AND PROBABLY FORGOT A LOT. BUT IT IS LATE AND I'M TIRED. wave_obscura, I AM NOT GONNA HIT POST ON YOUR COMMENTFIC UNTIL THE MORNING. Trust me, you don't want tired!fic from me. It's not pretty.

I still love the show & this season has been interesting to say the least. Very proud of Lisa for standin up for Ben cause if she didn't them I'd hate her character. Oh this episode had me on such an emotional rollercoaster. Bobby tellin Dean he's the favortie made my heart swell for Dean. He so needed to know how loved he is. I have no doubt Sam loves Dean but he just doesn't centralize Dean the way Dean does for him! The ending of god it killed me. I wept seeing Dean beatin Sammy. I get he's angry & rightfully but damn. I seriouslt can't wait for next friday!

I love Show and I love this season. Even though it's been repeatedly pissing me off, I haven't been bored once, NOT ONCE.

I'm really enjoying a lot of this season! I haven't been talking about it much lately, and I still think it has issues, but over all I'm interested and engaged and want to keep watching. And I LOVED this one. Great balance of MotW and bigger plot, Lisa was awesome, and Sam's confession at the end just, YES, I wanted to hug him even though that would be a terrible idea.

I'm really enjoying it, too! We are apparently in the minority though.

I really have a lot of respect for Lisa - I was iffy on the Dean/Lisa thing and was like, okay Show, sell me this relationship so I can actually buy it, and I did. I like Lisa as a character, and I think she did what any normal person would have done - she tried to help Dean through his issues but when it became clear that Dean could be a danger to Ben, that was it.

Jared's acting seems to have grown by leaps and bounds this season. I really enjoyed getting glimpses of the soulless Sam in between all of the fake "real Sam." You could see the points where he forgot he was supposed to be pretending to feel things.

That ending scene was killer in two ways - Sam's confession, and then Dean beating the crap out of him. Ouch, boys, you break my heart.

And then and then and then...oh.... I could see Sam fighting the truth spell and winning and that was *so* freaking awesome and scary and then finally telling Dean and Dean just *losing it*, as you would, omg.
