(Fictional) Broken bones and hospital visits

Okay, so someone just broke their arm. How do I get them from the ER into a room of their own (shared, of course, but you know what I mean) without, like, giving them a headwound? I don't need something huge and serious, I just don't wanna magically spirit them into being admitted just to get some plaster shoved on them.

And I'd rather not go the surgery route like when Jared broke his hand the last time.
