I have this horrible habit of not picking up my pen/pencil in between letters and sometimes words and it makes most of what I have to write completely illegible.

I don't think it's sad. Handwriting styles says a lot about a person - I used to have a book all about figuring out what someone's like from their handwriting, but I lent it to someone and that was that. But yeah. Here's some of mine, tit for tat:
