Nitpicking LOVE

Am DLing my fourth copy of the ep in hopes of getting one that actually works.

Bobby not being able to hit the broad side of a barn with The Colt is V realistic. The rifling in the barrel was likely fucked up something fierce when it was shoved into that big stone lock. Without proper rifling, you really can't hit the broad side of a barn because the bullet won't come out right. Rifling in the barrel gives the bullet a spin as it comes out. It makes it more accurate.

I will type of those nineteen pages of firearms notes soon, really I will.

AGREED. I've seen people posting like "WHY CAN'T BOBBY SHOOT" and I just roll my eyes and KEEP GOING. It's amazing that he managed to hit Ruby at all, seeing as how she's SO TINY.

But, couldn't people tell that he was adjusting stuff to correct the aim? I know nothing about guns and even I could figure it out.

I GUESS NOT.

Apparently not. A huge chunk of my FList was complaining that Bobby was a bad shot. The mind, it boggles.

Seriously, it's insanely impressive that he managed to come anywhere near close to her much less actually hitting her.

I loved that he was fiddling with the sights on the Colt, filing at it and such as he shot. I dunno if the rifling would have been messed up or not - it seemed like the barrel of the Colt went into a hole in the stone, rather than a shaft of stone going into the barrel, and as the rifling is inside the barrel and not on the outside, i don't think *that* was the case.

But i love that he *did* have to sight it in, rather than it being perfect after being used, tossed around, and disassembled.

Wasn't...

Hm. I coulda swore it was a flat surface before he put the gun in. I just assumed that it locked in with something in the barrel too (less to keep it in place and more to specifically fuck it up). I obviously need to rewatch AHBL 2 again.

I was pretty sure there was a hole. Hrmmmmmmmmm...yes! A rewatch!

I didn't really think about it. I wondered why it needed to be fixed. I thought it lost it's mojo or something.
