Daddy update
Pretrial Services said that they wont accept him because of his charges and because he's on probation. The guy I talked to said that Maricopa County Probation has already been alerted and have probably already started the petition to revoke his probation.
Dad says the first thing they're probably going to offer him is going to be something like ten years. He won't take a plea.
If we can get Karen out she says she'll take the fall; the drugs were on her side of the truck and her priors won't make it nearly as bad for her as it will for him.

Yes-- that's part of where the frustration comes in.
The police don't care if you're doing the drugs-- if you get caught with them, for any reason, it's a parole violation, period.
So the temptation I was talking about is the one where you take easy money for something you really need to entirely walk away from. :(
Dropping the drugs themselves, if you're hooked, is much harder than that.
*sigh* *hugs* :(
