It's March 16th.

It's two thirty-five in the afternoon.

It's 98 degrees out. That's 36 to you Non-Americans.

Stupid fucking Arizona.

I'm watching through my window as a foot of snow falls on my town.

Trade ya. :)

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Deal. If you can find me a car to get out there (Planes are a big no-no).

[identity profile] ink-stain.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
i second what [livejournal.com profile] trollprincess said. we're coming up on close to a foot of snow here. i would *very* gladly trade, man.

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Deal to you too, I hate the fucking heat in this state, it's insane!

[identity profile] ink-stain.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
thank you for not giving me the old "but it's a DRY heat" line. because 98 degrees is fucking HOT, any way you slice it.

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh fuck that shit; gimme wet heat any day. Yeah, it might make it seem a degree or two warmer but dry heat means heat rashes. Heat rashes SUCK.

[identity profile] resounding-echo.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude--thank you.

Wft, weather?

:stays inside a bit longer:

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously, what is wrong with this place?

[identity profile] resounding-echo.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't even want to think about this means for our summer.

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh God, I know! We're gonna hit the 120's again, watch.

[identity profile] jeyhawk.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Please dear God can I move in with you? I'm so sick and tired of the snow and the cold and the snow... and the cold... They are threatening us with a snowstorm on Sunday. A snow storm? *cries*

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure! Come on over! I warn you though: Our summer is probably gonna be around 48c this year.

[identity profile] miss-mandy.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It's 37 degrees here. Also, it snowed this morning.

I'll hop on the trading bandwagon too.

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
See, now everyone loves Arizona. Just wait until it starts t get real hot out here.

[identity profile] evenindeath.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
To us Australians, that's pissweak, ever seen a 45 degree day? Even your sweat is sweating.

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, sweetie. I'm in Arizona. 47/48 is our norm for summer. I complain because it's barely the beginning of Spring. We're supposed to have another month or so of relative niceness before we get this kind of temperature.

[identity profile] evenindeath.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
We're having that same problem here, we hardly saw winter last year at all. Blame global warming and pull out the kiddy pool, I say

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-16 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Man, I wish we had a pool around here. I swear, we're one of three complexes in the whole state without a pool. So lame.

[identity profile] ejayye.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
Ha!
I used to live in Perth, Australia, in a house with no pool, no airconditioning... not even a ceiling fan. And I went to school in a tin shed.
Beat that ;)

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
I can!

I've lived in a car with no air conditioning the summer we hit... 122, I think. Did I mention that part where I ran on the hot pavement barefoot because I was too stubborn/stupid to wear sandles? :D

[identity profile] ejayye.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
AHAHA. No thongs = idiot! But you win :)

(by the by, in Australia we call flip-flops 'thongs', just to be clear ^_^)

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
(by the by, in Australia we call flip-flops 'thongs', just to be clear ^_^)

Yeah, that first part is so much less creepy now. XD

[identity profile] unperfectwolf.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 07:41 am (UTC)(link)
So... I am to be in Mesa for a week next month. Will it be that hot then? *whine* I'm from seattle. I think it's hot out at 75. I don't want WARM, damnit.

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Next month? If you're lucky we might be down to the mid-eighties.

[identity profile] unperfectwolf.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
*long, drawn out sigh* fuck. *is screwed*

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
At least you wont be coming in Summer. *Points to other comments*

[identity profile] unperfectwolf.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh thank the gods. You don't know HOW thankful I am about that. I'm serious - a nice hot summer day is like 82. We hit mid 70's the other day and WE BROKE RECORDS. So.

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
...Wow. I wish our heat was like your "heat."

[identity profile] unperfectwolf.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
You would however have to trade in for rain, too *grin* lots of rain. and no umbrellas. Sayin' goes how you can tell a native from a non is that the nons all run around with umbrellas and the natives just dodge.

[identity profile] unperfectwolf.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
*natives as in someone from the area, not a native american. thought the title applys to those from the area too :P

[identity profile] clex_monkie89.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
XD I figured as much.

[identity profile] unperfectwolf.livejournal.com 2007-03-17 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
I love it! Serious, there's nothing better than a wet day with grey skies and that damp spring feeling. And the smell of the sound on a wet afternoon is HOME. I don't know - I would love to move elsewhere, but this place? It gets in your blood.

Fireplace

[identity profile] jadetate.livejournal.com 2007-03-18 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
I guess now would be a bad time to tell you I've been sleeping in front of the fireplace cause its fucking freezing Denver, huh?

You're a bad person.
