Randomly? Remember how I pointed out that mikhale is your soulmate and then that merc (who wrote that funny snarky Michael with burning tampons story) is mik's soulmate? Should have known that she's your soulmate as well. It's just a itsy, bitsy piece, but is was soooooo giving me Difference Between A Rule and A Law flashbacks.
Speaking of that thing, it came up a while ago. Sometimes I wonder, is it a bit of a curse to have written a truly popular story? Like you always feel almost like people are always expecting you to repeat the same miracle?
Just read that fic and you're right, it totally reminds me of The Difference Between A Rule and A Law. That's actually pretty cool.
As for the other link? Yeah, it is kinda weird to write a story that's really popular because then when people say like "Oh yeah well I really liked A but B is still my favorite" it almost makes you think "Oh, so this one isn't as good as that? What did I do wrong?"
The main reason for me not writing any PB in a while though, I've come to realize, is all FOX's fault. Supernatural is on repeats and I watch it every week. Between that and all the summer events and challenges my Sam and Dean voices are still pretty strong.
Prison Break is a significantly smaller fandom than Supernatural and so it doesn't really have anything during the summer. Except the PBFE but that's turned into a gigantic pile of shit so it doesn't count. FOX ended the PB season and has not replayed the episodes. While I do have them on disc (Except the finale but I spoiled myself on that so I know what happened) my computer sucks enough that two and a half hours to watch one 45 minute episode is just not worth it. Not for Prison Break, not for Supernatural, it's just too much work.
I figure that once we have some new eps under our belts I wont want to kill Michael and Lincoln as much for not talking to me.
I think it is interesting that so far your first (ok, almost first in case of DbaRaaL) stories have had almost the most impact (so far). Grin, I think maybe it's because they were like the distilled version of all your thoughts up to that point. All the new and fresh impressions of the show. Like you first got this big fat huge vision out of your head, like a weight off your shoulder. And that's why these have so much impact.
Randomly? I was like totally shocked that the PB season will start more than a month earlier than the Supernatural season (or generally most new seasons). It's really odd in a way.
I have to say, I'm starting to get really sick of that scene where Lincoln pulls Michael over the wall. I mean it's a cool scene, but in the context of the episode, they didn't showcase it at all and now it's like all over all the promos.
