What bugs me about this case, and the Miranda warning in general, is that most people don't know that he didn't get off. He was retried without the confession and found guilty anyway. He served 11 years. That's what usually happens when the Miranda warning is forgotten. The confession is suppressed and they get found guilty anyway.
