Yes, I went 6 months in Canada without needing to borrow any money, but now I'm going to take out a loan (unemployed and skint makes me attractive to financial institutions, natch ;D) to fly to LA for a con. I can't. The cheapest I could do the flights for is about US$2,000. I don't even have US$2000 right now. *wails* I want to so bad though. Next year. NExt year I'll have mnoey again, and we'll see what's what. ;_;
