Hah. I hadn't thought of that.

I actually hadn't thought much about it beyond a passing "what unattached white male heroes do we know of?" kind of way.

Clearly, I was too limited in my thinking.

And, clearly, YES! For Nathan's philandering (or I guess it would be collage indiscretions?) 16 years ago to finally catch up to him AND for it to have superpowers!

That's a wonderful double (at least!) whammy of angst and "why me?" for Nathan.

First, an adolescent illegimate child appearing on the eve of the election? Nathan's lifetime worst nightmare. (And, frankly, ClaireMommy looks like she's got some unstable personality qualities of her own. Enough that Nathan is very very glad for her to stay in his distant past. At least, in my opinion.)

Of course, THEN you throw in the fact that the "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" girl is HIS daughter... Heh heh. Poor Nate's going to pop an anyurism right there.
