Wow, you are pretty cynical, you know that?

Just a tad bit. That part actually came about after we had a discussion in class about a Suicide Network on cable.

The real question is whether royality and DVD rights should go completly to the state (here another advantage! Money could go to prison reforms, baby!) or to the victim's families (always nice) or even to the families of the one executed (they techncially are the stars of the tapes....).

Most states have laws in place so that the condemned and their family cannot profit from things like that. The laws were enacted after Gacy started selling his paintings and people started getting Serial Killer Crazy in the nineties. Though it does bring up an interesting question as to State or Victims.

Actually there was a very neat Law and Order episode about this. Where the father of victim is a psychologist who sees that the killer kid is a psychopath who is just going to kill again once he is out and therefore shoots the kid during trial.

I think I saw that one. It was very cool.
